Tech firms and legendary team collaborate for Wings for Life
A one-of-a-kind computer and 10 keyboards designed in a collaboration among technology brands MAN-MADE and HyperX and the legendary KAMAZ-master motorsport team are being raffled in a Russia-based fundraiser to support Wings for Life and spinal cord research.
Those eligible for the raffle can sign up for free at www.viprize.org/kamaz and make a donation to Wings for Life between 10:00 CET on January 27, 2022, and 22:00 CET on March 28, 2022. The bigger the donation, the more raffle chances you get and the higher the odds that you might win one of these prizes:
- An exclusive MAN-MADE computer, assembled from the body parts of a KAMAZ-master truck from the 2021 Dakar Rally.
- An online meet-and-greet with Dmitry Sotnikov, the winner of the 2021 and 2022 editions of the Dakar Rally.
- One of 10 limited-edition HyperX mechanical keyboards and autograph cards signed by Dmitry Sotnikov.
The unique computer’s theme reflects the spirit of the original KAMAZ-master vehicle, with authentic body parts from a Blue Armada truck that participated in the Dakar Rally used in construction of the PC. MAN-MADE designers traveled to the team’s HQ in Naberezhnye Chelny, 1,200 km east of Moscow, where they teamed up with KAMAZ-master engineers to handpick the truck body parts that they would use to build the computer from scratch, incorporating top-of-the-line components and advanced technologies.
The HyperX Origins CORE limited-edition keyboards are a symbiosis of a top-quality device with a unique shell. Created to offer gamers the best possible fusion of performance, reliability and unique design, they also feature part of a KAMAZ-master truck, thanks to the application of a side plate from a KAMAZ-master 43509 to the usual solid aluminium case.
The collaborators are looking to raise awareness as well as funds for Wings for Life and its good cause. So, they say, while the winners of the raffle will receive the exclusive computer, keyboards and meet-and-greet opportunities, the biggest reward is a chance to become part of a project that aims to help people with spinal cord injury.
